What If? The Tao of Now

Be inspired by an excerpt from The Tao of Now: Daily Wisdom from Mystics, Sages, Poets, and Saints:
“Most of us go through each day looking for what we saw yesterday. And, not surprisingly, that is what we find. Most of us expect the same, or worse, and we are not frequently disappointed. But what would happen if we started to expect surprise? What if we removed the blinders that allow us to see only more of the negative things we have come to expect in life? What if we started to look for the ordinary magic? Would we be disappointed?”
“What would happen to us if we really fell in love with life? How would our lives change if we really thought, as Thoreau encourages, that reality is fabulous? What if we took his advice and ’steadily observed reality only’? Would our lives really be like a fairy tale, as he suggests? What if we started to look for the grand things that life would bring us each day? Would we be fools of whom other people take advantage, or would we find that life is exciting, joyful, and wonderful?” —James A. Kitchens
Spiritual liberation is not somewhere in the sky. It is found right here in the everyday and ordinary.
