Something new has been added...
Good evening all, I have added a feature to my site called Blog Explosion to my blog. I am extremely new to this whole thing, and I would greatly appreciate comments, advice, or honest critique from anyone interested. Thanks everyone for your help!
Blog Exposion is good. I joined a long time ago, but didn't get involved until this week. Visit the shoutbox. Open it to full view and come hang out with us. You get mystery credits for chatting. You also get mystery credits for surfing. MC's give you more opportunities to have your site viewed, and the shoutbox is fun. Shoutboxers are lots of fun.
I think you have a good start ... you are a writer and that is always helpful. People like to read thoughtful things ... things not filled with cuss words, bad grammar and misspellings.
Personally I like uncluttered blogs ... and ones that are easy to read. Too much clutter or 'business' going on and I'm likely to just let my 30 seconds go on by on Blog Explosion and not bother to read.
I get most of my traffic from Blog Explosion ... but I have others too, like Blog Soldiers and Blog Clicker.
Another tip I've found useful is leaving comments on as many blogs as you find interesting or attractive. A compliment here or one there will often bring the person you complimented BACK to your blog and in turn they will usually leave a comment.
I try to go to every person's blog that has left a comment on MINE. It helps 'spread the word'.
Another tip ... try to keep the 'gadgets' on your site ... counters and buttons and STUFF ... to a minimum. Sites that have too much 'stuff' load more slowly and also make me just move on past them.
