Do That VooDoo That You Do So Well....

Happy Halloween!
Here's a toast to all you little ghoulies and ghosties, large and small:

May your goodie bag be overflowing with your favorites by the end of the night.
Let the hexes simply bounce off.
When you wake up, may you find only leaves on your trees.
And all the eggs you encounter be for breakfast.

...And if the sweet thing you came home with turns out to be a monster in the morning,
May your morning breath and baggy eyes be enough to scare them off!...

Just kidding...

Man, it MUST be Monday!

Welcome, kiddies, to my world!
With 2 kids to raise, bills to pay, housework to do, food to cook, errands to run (are we seeing a pattern here?) in ADDITION to trying to do homework, I sometimes put off the homework until last during the weekends.
I have discovered that this is bad karma, at least at my house.
Sunday night I stayed up, trying my best to figure out what this crappola called math is. I threw my backpack on the floor next to the table while I was working, never giving it a second thought.

This morning, because I stayed up late last night, I pushed the snooze button one time too many and I was running late (as usual.) That meant that I had to make a dash for the door to get to class. But when I picked up my pack to load it, wellllll, as MY LUCK would have it, one of the cats had PEED in it!!! Ahhh, to be loved?

Murphy and his law be damned!!!!

I need coffee.

On the plus side, though, my turtle eggs seem to be developing nicely... I am sooo excited to see the babies!

Sunday funnies

This must be a wonderful place to live if you are a pet. Mine are going crazy this morning! The cats are running through the house like a wild cavalry, back and forth. Amazing what a full belly will do to even the oldest of them.

I woke up to find that one of my turtles had laid 2 eggs. I was amazed! I have had them for a number of years, and I thought that they were both females. But I read that they can store sperm for as long as 4 years before they use it to fertilize eggs. Pretty cool!!! They look like big pink Thompson seedless grapes. I sure wouldn't want to have to pass something that big!!! I guess I must be doing something right if they are happy enough to lay eggs.

My boy has his headsets on and the machine must be on full blast because I can hear it clear over here. He is rocking out and reading, the TV is on and he swears that he is paying attention to all of it...

My daughter is still snoozing, or at least she is still in her bed. Although I suspect that she might be in there reading, too. It is a rainy bleak day here, so there isn't a whole lot to do. Anyway, this is just a normal weekend morning around here ~complete chaos~

I sincerely hope that you are enjoying yourself as much as we are!
