Merry Christmas or whatever...

Here is my sincere hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas,Yule, Hannuka, Kwanza or whatever it is that your family celebrates.

Although frankly I am gratelful that it is almost over. Between my birthday, my daughter's birthday on the 23rd, and then Christmas, well, we all get partied out. And in just a couple of weeks it will be my son's big day... It is always just a little too much. But that's life!

Goodnight!

Fun with interactive Mona Lisa

Ok, Ok, this is what you do when you don't have homework... And is it fun!
My About.com website had this on it and I couldn't resist sharing it with you. Thanks to a facial features generator, you can see what Mona Lisa would look like with a different expression on her face, and frankly, it is really too much fun not to play with.

Enjoy~

I can finally relax

I made it. I made it! I MADE IT! Yep, it means that I passed math!!! I aced the rest of the classes, that was great, too. But math was the rub.

Eric got a medal for winning a Geometry Bee yesterday. Amanda got a great report card. The world is smiling. But OMG, now they are home on vacation...

So what AM I gonna do with them underfoot for two weeks?!

Monday Morning $%^&#@$#$...

Man, if there is truly a Murphy, then this person and his laws must be shot! Especially when he screws up Mondays so completely...

The day started off poorly. Jes like a Monday does not need to be.

I have been nurturing my turtle eggs now for 72 days, actually 2 days longer than the book suggests that a turtle egg should be incubated. But I just couldn't get myself to throw away something that one of the girls had obviously worked so hard on (I know if I had passed something That Big, I would want the whole world to be impressed!) Anyway, this morning, as I checked the little pink darlings, I noticed that they were cracked, and got all excited that the day had finally arrived to be a grandma. NOT SO! They had instead become rather ripe after 72 days of warmth and dampness and proceeded to make a stink the likes of which I will not offend my readers by relating. Dashed were all my dreams of the patter of little turtle feet around the house. (collective sympathies may now be expressed...)

So, the mess contained, I proceeded to get ready for the first of TWO (count 'em TWO!) parts of my math final. I have an accommodation to take extra time on a test, so arrived at the appropriate time on campus, only to find that the snot-nosed, puppy professor had not accommodated me with a test to take. My whole galactic career rests on this test, and he does not bother to have it ready for me?! Scandalous! Unforgivable!! Vile, and well, just plain mean!!! ( why the heck I chose to call it my Galactic career remains a mystery... Perhaps I just need more coffee. Or more sleep)

So, here I sit, no test, no teacher, no coffee... I told myself that I would not study any more this morning because my head tends to swim with the stuff if I get into it too much. If the S.N.P.P. ever gets here, I will take his stupid final (part one) and do the best I can. In the mean time, I have made my whining available to the world to scoff at.

So good *&^%$# morning to you!

Holy Cow, you are actually reading my blog! And I missed it!!

Well, that is what I get for not posting on my window to the world...

You guys have actually been reading my blog!

I am gushing as we speak, thank you all. And what a varied audience. I am truly touched. And FYI, the guy who posted a comment about penis enlargement is touched, too. IN THE HEAD! Please, I don't wanna hear it, ok? (Oh, that was just an email he sent me, but I still don't wanna hear it!)

Thanks to the rest of you, though. And what is the dreaded sevensevens thingy?

My birthday was uneventful. My mom and sister forgot it, but that is nothing new. They were moving, so at least they had an excuse. My kids didn't forget, though, and made me great cards. I now have a half- nekked Johnny Depp gracing my wall, from my daughter (of course, she's almost 16, what did I expect?) Bless her little heart! Amanda also bought me a bread kit that is baked in a clay pot. YUMMY! We went shopping on my big day and had dinner at Taco Bell. So it was a good day all in all. But I sure do feel old...

Other than that I have been studying my arse off, getting ready for finals next week. I am doing fine with strong "A"s in all my classes but math. I have managed to run the absolute razor's edge for a "C" in that class. So my final will decide it I end up taking the class over again next semester. I am soooo close to graduating with my first degree and this snot-nosed, puppy teacher is keeping me from my goals. At the very least he is destroying my GPA. Oh well, I am an artist, not a mathematician! Einstein failed math, too! Anyway, you all need to keep your fingers crossed that I make my "C" and do well at the final, PLEASE!!!

Now I have to go and get caught up on reading other people's blogs, and finding out what the dreaded sevenseven is. Have a great day and keep on writing. I will keep up with the blog better, promise!
