2014/365 Day Art challenge, June 8th and now an apple

This was a good day. I started making a paper mache' apple for a friend as a gag gift of sorts. It will hold a McIntosh gadget for a birthday present, but she wants them to think the apple IS the gift. So far I have the upper body formed, and covered in several layers of strips, but the bottom (which is actually the lid) isn't covered yet. It will eventually be painted and decorated with leaves and a stem, just for fun. It doesn't look like much right now. I hope it dries quickly. It would be icky if it didn't dry properly... I don't know if you can see the lobes in the top or not. So this is my creative WIP.
